Today’s TJC Tidbit
The Joint Commission (TJC) will be visiting Sibley. To help everyone prepare, we will be featuring a daily tip here.
Take a look around the unit as if you were a surveyor. Are there extension cords and multi-plug power strip outlets? These are only acceptable on non-medical equipment, such as computers.
Epic Beacon Go-Live
The oncology departments will go-live with the Epic Beacon module today, Feb. 2. Epic project team members, key stakeholders and support personnel have been scheduled to assist the go-live areas providing issue resolution and support as needed.
Please contact Liz Rhodes at x7636 or email@example.com with any questions.
Proton Center Project: Temporary Door Closure
From Friday, Feb. 3, at 7 a.m. to Saturday, Feb. 4, at 5:30 p.m., the door labeled GA0201 will be closed. This door is located in Building B, Level G and is adjacent to the IT department (corridor GA110). The path from the sidewalk to the loading dock area into the new ED entrance will also be closed. Please use the dietary loading dock entrance or the lower main loading dock in Building C, Level C, near the security and receiving offices, to access the west employee parking garage.
We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding while we work to complete the proton center project.
National Wear Red Day
February is Heart Month. Support Go Red For Women by participating in National Wear Red Day® tomorrow, Feb. 3, to bring awareness to cardiovascular disease.
Why Go Red? Cardiovascular disease in the U.S. kills approximately one woman every 80 seconds. The good news is that 80 percent of cardiac events may be prevented with education and lifestyle changes. Go Red For Women advocates for more research and swifter action for women’s heart health. That’s why this year we are asking that you wear red on National Wear Red Day®. By doing so, you help increase women’s awareness about cardiovascular health.
Does a patient or their loved one have urgent business to attend to? Perhaps they need a private place to make a phone call or simply want to read the newspaper in peace.
Centre|Sibley can help! Our space located on the main floor of Building B is a comfortable lounge with space for you to stretch out. We have phone chargers, iPads and a dedicated team to make sure your patients and their families have what they need to stay connected.
Safety Culture Survey
Sibley fell from first place for participation in the safety culture assessment, but it’s a close contest. See how we stack up against our colleagues in the chart below, and see the new frequently asked questions.
Two individuals that completed the survey were randomly selected by Pascal Metrics to receive a prize. Complete the survey to be eligible for next week’s prize.
